Dr. AlSufayan is the Head of Neonatology Department at Habib Hospital , Khobar , Saudi Arabia . He has completed his Fellowship training in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine from University of Manitoba, Canada. He also holds a Diploma of Child Health from The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) and Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA). He worked as section Head , Research Office , King Abdullah International Medical Research Center (KAIMRC), Dammam. He has over 15 years of experience in Neonatology Medicine. He published many articles in his field of interest. Dr. AlSufayan gave many lectures in national and international conferences

Neonatal-Perinatal

I am a physician by training and developed an interest in clinical research while working as a research assistant/ associate at University of Alberta in Canada. I was involved as a sub investigator on many clinic trials using psychiatric meds. This interest led to a Master’s Degree or MSc in Psychiatry and my project investigated the use of amphetamines as a model for mania in healthy volunteers (Asghar et al, 2003). I went on to obtain a residency position in Pediatric Neurology after my Master’s Degree and worked on mitochondrial disorders during residency. After residency I obtained a faculty position at Children’s Hospital in Little Rock, AR. I became the Director of the Neuro Behavioral Clinic and together with collaboration with the Genomics group we investigated subclinical seizures in autistic children and their relation to oxidative stress markers. I was very fortunate to work with Dr. Jill James a pioneer in the area. I developed a clinical guideline for Restless Legs Syndrome that is updated every two years and published on the ANGELS network at UAMS, AR. I left to pursue a fellowship in sleep medicine. With my mentor Dr. Beth Malow who has published widely in autism I coauthored a chapter entitled “The Use of Melatonin in Autistic Spectrum Disorder” (Asghar and Malow, 2014). Currently I am at Louisiana State University in Shreveport, LA. I am an Assistant Professor in Neurology and serve as co-director of the Sleep Center. I am involved in education, inpatient and outpatient care both Pediatric Neurology as well as Sleep Medicine and off course my research. As a faculty member at Louisiana State University I have been fortunate to have an IRB approved study looking at the neurological effects of COVID in children. I have co-authored a recent paper with my colleagues in Hershey looking at COVID neurological effects in children. This has been widely cited (Kim et al, 2020). I am passionate about teaching. I have mentored medical students, residents and fellows. Lately I developed a curriculum for nurse practitioners in peds neurology which has been adopted as guidelines by our department. I am interested in global health issues particularly suicidality in teens. I was fortunate to have recently presented at an international conference

Dr. Jike Lu is an Orthopaedic surgeon, Chairperson, Professor, Dept of Orthopaedics at Wenzhou Med University, BJU, Beijing China. He completed his doctorate at the University of New South Wales in Sydney. Before his doctoral studies in Australia, Dr. Lu was a qualified orthopedic spine surgeon and Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Xinjiang Medical University. Dr. Lu accumulated ten years of extensive experience in orthopedic trauma, tumors, joint replacement, and spinal surgeries. He has served in numerous hospital institutions in Melbourne and Sydney. Dr. Lu’s primary clinical interest is orthopedic surgery for adults and children. In addition, Dr. Lu has also served as a visiting professor of orthopedic surgery at Wenzhou Medical University. Dr. Lu has over 30 years of clinical experience in the treatment and diagnosis of spinal degenerative disorders, cervical spondylosis, lumbar disc herniation, stenosis and spondylolisthesis, and spinal trauma and tumors. Dr. Lu specializes in orthopedic trauma, joint arthroplasty, and total knee joint and hip replacement. Dr. Jike Lu has published over 50 Research articles in Chinese in scientific and medical journals. Dr. Lu currently holds unconditional national medical board registration and is certified by the Australia Medical Council.

Head of the hepatobiliopancreatic surgery service at the William Soler Hospital in Havana. Experience of more than 15 years in hepatic resections for tumors, trauma and live transplant. Experience in biliary surgery such as biliary tract atresia, choledochal cysts and others. For 15 years, he has been performing definitive treatment of complex post-cholecystectomy bile duct injuries that occur in the country with good results without mortality. Perform advanced laparoscopic surgery. Experience in pancreatic tumor surgery, chronic pancreatitis, mainly panceatoduodenectomies and other open and laparoscopic resections of the pancreas. Experience in surgical treatment of portal hypertension such as Rex Shunt, spenorenal shunts and others. He performs diagnostic, intraoperative and interventional ultrasound in pediatric surgery since 2004.

He was involved in several research fields in the past few years, namely: McDonald criteria for diagnosing pediatric multiple sclerosis at the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto working on the Canadian Multiple Sclerosis Database; evaluating actigraph in children with epilepsy at the Hospital for sick Children Toronto and Avi Sadeh Tel Aviv University; building and analyzing the epilepsy and sleep database at the Hospital For Sick children. He is working on a web system with a vision of a better communication between the patient, the patient's parents and the health care provider at Soroka Medical Center.
